It's been so quiet with people workin haven't seen a soul Let's clear the tables call friends and neighbors get out my mixing bowl Buy some potatoes and get some tomatoes and a few green vegetables Fire up the oven and we'll start a cuttin and we'll have a festival Chorus cuz there's nothin better than being among friends as we sit and eat and drink and laugh for hours on end We throw in spices like confetti now it's half past five The soup on simmer the turkey basted I see a few arrive The chairs a fillin and the drinks are chillin and we all go om nom nom We're storytellin and we're nearly yellin and the food keeps pilin on Chorus People start makin toasts to each other and the hosts the desserts disappear but goodbyes are still not near Chorus And when the food is gone someone picks a song we turn the music on and then we sing all night long Chorus Chorus

I noticed you there some time ago Finally, we exchange some vocabulary My heart must think I'm running up a mountain as I ask your name, nonchalantly This is just the beginning Soon I hope I'll be winning meanwhile I know I gotta keep it asleep Now we start to hang out I meet your friends and act gentlemanly I become more sure by the minute while I smile and chat insouciantly I hope that this is the way to that glorious day till then I know I gotta keep it asleep I look for the right time you have news while I deliberate the news has a name and it's not mine so I wear a mask that's dispassionate Waiting was all for naught I never even had a shot so now I know I have to keep it asleep If you're smart you'd say "give up" rather than letting it persevere well I am no magician and cannot make things disappear How much time will go by until it decides to die cuz I don't like to have to keep it asleep

He says, "can't you see, we can't see out" He says, "all we learn is how to not learn" He says, "we're just kids having a kid" Did you hear him? I don't think we did. Chorus We don't need one thing to change We need everything to stop staying the same There's no one person who deserves the blame but we're stuck year after year after year after year after year after year He says, "don't you get it, we can't get out" He says, "there's little left of what we left behind" He says, "all we've done is wait since this all began" Can you hear him? I don't think we can. Chorus When can he finally be free of poverty? When will he no longer be a refugee? When can he finally be free of poverty? When will he no longer be a refugee?

about

Not an EP, not a full album, Fermenting is the first of what will hopefully be many "albumlets" by Lujo.

Like an album, an albumlet strives for its own sound and statement. But rather than spending the time on a full set of twelve(ish) songs, the briefer version allows more albumlets to follow, with different flavors, new concoctions, alternative approaches, and all at a quicker pace to allow for maximum stimulation of your ears.

There is no minimum price - you can download all of this music FO FREE!
